La Mer and the Boat

Un jour, I will sail away

I come from La Seyne-sur-Mer

But j’ai peur de la mer

J’aime beaucoup les bateaux

But can’t afford to own a boat

Les étés at Balaguier

Swimming among fishing boats

Nager sans jamais perdre pied

Cos I fear the deep end

Dreaming of sailing far away

Capitaine de mon bateau

I know it will never be real

Too scared of les monstres

Or maybe I am the monster

So j’ai peur de moi même

The sea will see right through me

Then elle m’avalera

Je viens de La Seyne-sur-Mer

Et j’ai peur de la mer

I write towards what I want to know.
