Kristina God Mentioned Me In An Article About Writers Hating Each Other

A reality that I had been able to avoid so far on Medium

In Kristina God’s recent short-form article, she mentions me and includes part of a comment I left on one of her articles. Wow, that was exciting to see a well known writer on Medium, acknowledging my incessant optimism! Thank You Kristina, for inspiring this piece and for the shout out.

Now, what I found shocking about the article, was the referencing of other writers on this platform hating each other.

Wait, What? There are writers here who hate other writers? Is this Facebook?

My internal thought process rambled on:

Gabby Gabs, you're a newbie, you are naive and have much to learn here. Take Kristina’s words at value and try to wrap your head around them.

I had no idea.

I mean, I know that we all have differing opinions, and styles of writing, and that not everyone is going to enjoy everyone else's content.

But Hating? Despising? Jealousy? Viewing others as Competition?

Those are not words that I come across often internally anymore.

It has taken many years of pain, internal & external torture, and eventually growth by rising from the ashes to reach this point in my life.

“Be the Love You Wish to Receive”, is one of my favorite mottos.

It goes back to Preschool, or Sunday School.

Treat others, as you want to be treated. Love your neighbor, as yourself.

We all require & desire love as spiritual beings having a human experience.

Love is not an option, people. It is mandatory, and the sooner we as a society come to understand that, the sooner we will evolve and see the changes around us that so many desire to see.

There is already too much division & bickering in this world, why add to it?

I also understand that if I desire to receive love and to be treated compassionately, that is what I need to give out. In order to receive, give.

I truly believe that just by uplifting & encouraging as many people as you can, can really make a difference in all of our lives.

It brings personal joy to my life to know that I have helped someone to feel more heard, understood, or loved.

At times, it seems that there is not enough love circulating in this world, and what most of us are not understanding, is that love is the foundation of all creation. We can find it in abundance, if we are willing to look from a loving perspective.

I don't care if there is not a single thing we agree upon, I will love you regardless.

I have lost too many family & friends to suicides, kidnapping, murder, senseless traumatic accidents, drunk drivers, slips & falls, and hidden cancers.

Too many traumatic losses, in a short life, to not carry on with love.

When you suffer so many brutal losses, you realize that 1 simple sentence can change the outcome of someone's day.

I believe it, because even in the 3 weeks since joining Medium, reading others’ articles, or comments on my articles, has changed the course of my own day.

Now, I understand that some of us are so focused on the end goal, most of which is to bring in a real, survivable living wage from this platform, that we can easily lose sight of our original goal to connect with & help others.

There is no reason to see other writers or anyone else as competition.

I don’t see any of us as having competition, as we are all different minds & voices. Different perceptions. No two brains alike on this whole planet.

To be received differently by all who read. Some will connect with your words, others will not and move on.

But regardless, believe & trust that the tribe will come with patience.

I have grown to a solid 10 people in my tribe on Medium in 3 weeks.

Progress & patience. I trust that the 10 will turn to 100, then 1000, and so on.

To hate someone, or compulsively scroll their posts, with envy, will not help bring you relief. It will end up putting you in an energetic state of LACK.

What you put out there, you attract. You are perpetuating your own thoughts due to the comparisons, an idea that you are lacking something, or need something more than what you already have.

I made $0.24 cents yesterday. Wanna talk about lack? Nope.

Let’s try Abundance. That is $0.24 more than I had the day before.

$0.24 I wouldn't have had, ever, had I not made this blog.

As writers, we all have something different to contribute to the mass consciousness.

Please, don't view me as competition.

Don’t hate me for my presence on this platform.

Instead, perhaps view me as a new friend?

A friend who won't judge you.

A friend who wants to see everyone succeed.

See me, as a soul who genuinely wants to connect with others, & create new paradigms in this world.

I love you all. You can hate me if you want to. If that makes you feel better.

But in my experience, hating someone else only truly hurts yourself.

If you feel people are hating you, or come across as rude, try to remember: People who are hating, are truly hurting.

Hate me if you have to, but I would prefer to help all of us heal, however I can.
