Kramer: The Heart and Soul of the Best Sitcom Ever Made
When the most annoying character is the best character
Seinfeld is a brilliant show, the humour often needs our effort to enlighten us the way it needs to be. It touches upon different topics: relationship, sex, sexuality, physical attractiveness, friendship and what not! I started watching this show pretty late, but I thank god that I finally did. The way the show is orchestrated, the way it narrates sensitive topics and the way it develops the key characters, is just clever and nothing less!
George Constanza Is a Cheap Man
Georges’ character is a slow burn. In the first season, you might find him to be a guy with a good job, manners and personality. He is witty and overtly expressive. He is also very careful about spending.
But it is not until he loses his job, another side of George is brought on the spotlight. He is desperate and cheap. He is also cheap, and cheap, and cheap. Oh, he’s cheap! He is also an immature partner, for most of the partners that he has had. There is an episode in which we can see his despise for his girlfriend’s big nose, although she did have a gigantic nose. But in a society that we live in right now, a person as such would be criticized heavily. But that is also the beauty of the show. It has characters, real characters with real flaws. The show does not shy away from exposing it.
Jerry, the Good Friend
Jerry is a great friend to everyone. He does not get offended easily, even if he gets hurt, he does not hold grudges. It is difficult to have a neighbour like Kramer, but Jerry accepts him for what he is and considers him one of his closest friends. Kramer is the one who often gets Jerry in difficult spots, but Jerry doesn’t hold anything against him. He likes Kramer. He also helps his friends unconditionally. But it does not mean that he has no flaws, which he has, but most of them can be overlooked.
Elaine, the Only One Who Laughs at Jerry’s Jokes
Elaine is cute and intelligent, she is also a ticking time bomb. She is daring, and is not afraid to speak up when she sees something that she finds wrong or goes against her ideologies, like someone wearing a fur!
She is a feminist. She is expressive. She is funny. She is also the only character that I have noticed, who laughs at Jerry’s jokes, other than during the beginning and end of each episode when Jerry is shown performing on stage.
Kramer, Kramer, Kramer!
Kramer is the quirkiest and the weirdest characters ever on the history of television! He is weird, like really weird. But he is so adorable. He gets Jerry into trouble all the time, but no one’s complaining. We love him.
He does not have any filter while he talks. He is the one who without any second thoughts, told George’s girlfriend that she needs a nose job.
He does not have a regular income, but gets lucky at times, for example winning a horse race bet. He has ideas that are as quirky as he is. Kramer is the best character in the whole show!

This is an amazing show to take the heat off of your head, to feel good, to up your spirits when you feel down. This show is not just about quality comedy, but also about the topics it discusses. This show is great to spend the quarantine hours. This show has the potential to be your favourite sitcom, trust me!
