Korea’s GS25 has a new public transportation card for foreign visitors

GS25, Korea’s go-to convenience store chain managed by GS Retail, has teamed up with LOCA Mobility to roll out a unique public transportation card tailored for international tourists.

This collaboration was announced with the unveiling of:

“Hanbok Chunsik LOCA M” card

The idea behind this new card comes from a surge in foreign tourism in Korea.

Convenience stores like GS25 have turned into hotspots for tourists to grab their essentials.

With the introduction of this card, GS25 aims to enhance the travel experiences of these foreign visitors by offering them a plethora of benefits.

The “Hanbok Chunsik LOCA M” card isn’t just any transportation card.

It’s packed with discounts and perks in collaboration with Creative Trip, a local travel platform.

With this card, foreign visitors can unlock up to 20% discounts at over 180 stores across the country.

And that’s not all!

The card package includes QR codes that tourists can scan with their mobiles.

These QR codes are your key to exclusive discounts at popular dining and shopping spots like Seoul 88 Beer, Cafe True, Shinsegae Duty-Free Shop, and ABC Mart.

This traveler-friendly card has already hit the shelves at 235 GS25 outlets in top tourist hubs in Seoul like Myeong-dong, Itaewon, Hongik University, and Seoul Station.

GS25 has ambitious plans to extend the availability of these cards to even more stores across the country by the end of the year.
