[korea blog] thai-style curry | making samgyetang to fight heat | last sunny day before monsoon starts

We made samgyetang for dinner today!
More on that later.
I was supposed to catch “King the Land” at 10.30 pm yesterday but ended up not watching and catching the re-run at 1.30 am 😅
Slept at almost 3 am and woke up at noon.
Oops 🙊
But today’s rest day so thank God.

Lunch is Thai-style curry.
Honestly, I think I’m not a fan of this.
It’s not yucky, just not for me.

Nonetheless, I finished up everything, with the potatoes and cheese I added.

We’re out for our walk.
I received a notification on my phone at noon about the weather.

It’s a general message about the monsoon season.

Where I’m at, rain’s going to start tomorrow.
And that means I might not be able to go for long walks starting tomorrow.
The weather forecast says it’s going to last for a week so… 🙃

We’re exploring a new area today!

It’s an old train track apparently.

A garden right by the side with some flowers 🌸

A restaurant on a slope.

Also saw this for the first time.
You can send/pick up your parcels here I guess.
And there are even buttons that you can activate to contact the police and emergency department.
How cool is that?!
We’re making samgyetang today and here to get the ingredients.

Also shopped for what I need for lunch tomorrow.

I also got an ice cream bar for just 550 KRW!

And off we go!

Saw a baby cat on the way home.
It was meowing a lot and so I “meowed” back.
After a few exchanges, I left but it followed me for a while 😅

This took an hour to cook but all is done.
We should have boiled it for a little longer but it was getting late so… let’s dig in.

Had it with 2 huge servings of yeolmu kimchi (young radish).
My boyfriend’s mother made them 😍
It was such a heavenly combination.

For dessert, I had the ice cream I bought earlier.

How can this go wrong?
Yums.
And I’m going to end the post here.
See you in the next! 😉
