Kisses of Gold
A twittle blessing

Kisses of gold bless the morn His promise for a glorious day Life here on Earth as in Heaven is no more than a heartbeat away
© Carolyn Hastings 2020
It matters not what your beliefs, religion, or philosophies of life might be, there is something intoxicatingly divine about watching the sun rise over the water. When I took this photo in October 2019, I remember feeling blessed and humbled by the privilege of having been granted another day on this spinning ball of wonder called Earth. Little did I know what lay ahead for all of us in the time since then.
These are the words I wrote when this twittle blessing was originally published in Whitney Rose’s publication, Flicker and Flight, in November 2020. Sadly, both Whitney and her publication left Medium in mid-2021, so this piece, and several others, were returned to me.
…which, in this instance, has worked out rather well. When I learned that Orla.K had launched her Christian-focused publication, New Creation, I knew I had found the right home for this piece.
Here is another twittle I wrote a day or two before I wrote Kisses of Gold. This one is about the eternal question: the meaning of life.
What’s a twittle?
A twittle is a 4-line micropoem constructed with exactly 100 alphabet letters and a sprinkle of rhyme. Spaces, punctuation marks, numbers and symbols are not included in the character count.
Thank you to Orla.K for offering a new home for this piece, in her publication, New Creation. 🙏 💛
Thank you all for reading. 🙏 💕
