A Christmas twittle

Fluttering, dancing, waving to me

perfume afloat like a dream

Christmas bell kisses of cream

My ‘morning constitutionals’ are a constant source of delight. A living-in-the-moment opportunity to get close-up and personal with Mother Nature. She never ceases to delight and amaze whether it be on a large scale or small — a brilliant sunrise that takes up the whole sky, or a tiny green ladybird on a twig.

This time it was a charming panicle sprouting, almost like a Christmas tree, from the center of a cordyline ‘Torbay Dazzler’. Instead of baubles, Mother Nature had decorated her Christmas tree with dainty fragrant cream bells. She’s so clever. And creative. But I think we all know that!

A twittle is 4-line micropoem constructed with exactly 100 letters. It’s perfect for tweeting on Twitter. You’ll find more floral-themed kisses twittles here and here.

Thank you as always to Whitney Rose for publishing my words and my photos here at Flicker and Flight. 💕
