King or Queen?
Marital harmony restored
My husband and I have made two purchases during our marriage that have done more to restore marital harmony than any others.
The first was replacing the standard mattress on our bed with a memory foam mattress. Memory foam lets one person toss and turn as much as the wish without disturbing their spouse. Their spouse gets a good, solid night’s sleep. Everyone is happier.
The second was a surprise. We have a queen-sized bed. Yet at the department store’s latest linen sale, we bought a king-sized comforter.
No matter how much someone rolls around during the night, wrapping themselves like a burrito in the blankets, there is enough extra fabric to keep the other person covered.
This was genius! Why did we believe that the size of the covers had to match the size of the bed?
