Kindness Begets Kindness, But Can Be Unconditional
Two acts of kindness by my maternal uncle changed the course of my life.
At a time when my parents were busy ensuring that we got the best of education despite financial problems, my uncle got me admitted to a typing class. Then, got me a library card and encouraged me to read books. I was concentrating only on my studies. Newspapers were enough for reading.
Perhaps, it was a blessing in disguise or my uncle noticed my interests and believed in me. The typing classes ensured good typing speed before I took up a job and the library card ensured me becoming a reader.
Kindness cannot be forgotten — I’ve returned it many times randomly and will continue. Yet, I don’t expect anything. Only unconditional generosity matters!
