Ken’s New Penis
Finding his way
Paul: “Hey, I had an idea for a story.”
Pat: “Yeah, go on. Was it any good?”
Paul: “The idea? It has potential, but I haven’t written the story yet.”
Pat: “What’s the idea?”
Paul: “Well, it’s not a fully formed idea yet.”
Pat: “Well, then what is it?”
Paul: “It's a title and a subtitle.”
Pat: “A title and a subtitle? Is that all?”
Paul: “Yeah.”
Pat: “What’s the title?”
Paul: “I’m calling this new story ‘Ken’s New Penis’”.
Pat: “‘Ken’s New Penis’? That opens up a lot of possibilities.”
Paul: “That’s what she said.”
Pat: “Did you just lead me down the garden path so that you could say, ‘That’s what she said?”
Paul: “Yep. I was considering saying ‘Phrasing,’ but we’re not doing that anymore.”
Pat: “That's what she said.”
Paul Mansfield is a writer, a photographer, a guitar player, a philosopher — some he does well, some not so well, but he still tries them all.
