Summary

The narrative illustrates the concept of karmic justice through the experiences of the author and their family, who face adversity and loss due to the actions of their neighbor Shiva, only for Shiva to suffer a significant setback when his business is robbed, potentially as a result of his own negative intentions and actions.

Abstract

In the article "Karmic Justice Unleashed: When Fate Strikes Back," the author recounts a series of unfortunate events that began with the suspicious deaths of their dogs, believed to be orchestrated by Shiva's brother, who desired their land for business expansion. The author and their family endured bullying and intimidation from Shiva, including an unjustified increase in utility costs and eventual disconnection of services. Despite these challenges, they adapted by becoming self-sufficient with solar power and rainwater harvesting. The narrative takes an ironic turn when Shiva's recycling center is robbed, an event the author suggests could be linked to his previous actions, reinforcing the idea that one's intentions and deeds can lead to karmic retribution. The article concludes with the family regaining their utilities, seemingly under the auspices of karma's balancing influence.

Karmic Justice Unleashed: When Fate Strikes Back

Dear readers, if you’ve been following my previous writings, you’ll recall the unwavering theme: karma, the cosmic debt that demands payment, regardless of the circumstances. Last week, an incident unfolded that vividly exemplified the infallibility of this karmic equation, proving that every action sets in motion an equal and opposite reaction.

Picture this: nestled in the heart of our land, where our beloved dogs frolic, lies an imposing recycling centre owned by none other than Shiva, a flamboyant and conceited individual. Shiva’s wealth, amassed through his recycling empire, allowed him to bask in the glory of an enviable collection of high-performance cars and a fleet of vintage automobiles.

Our story begins in September 2021 when we moved to a neighbouring piece of land, providing our dogs with a spacious haven. This land was diligently tended to by Mohammed, a compassionate soul who devoted himself to caring for our canine companions. In essence, my daughter Abby and I are the overseers of this extended canine family, with one exception — a rescue dog that had found its home among us.

As we settled into our new abode, trouble reared its ugly head in February 2022 when we tragically lost Mafia, one of our cherished dogs. Shortly thereafter, Jodha, Mafia’s mother, met a similarly unfortunate fate. Suspicion began to brew, and as the life of a second dog was tragically cut short, we unraveled a sinister plot orchestrated by none other than Shiva’s brother, despite vehement denials from their family. It appeared that Shiva’s brother coveted the land we occupied for his forklift repair business, a proposal our landowner staunchly rejected. Seemingly convinced that the demise of our dogs would drive us away, the malevolent plan was set in motion.

A ray of hope emerged when a missing puppy was mysteriously returned to us, reaffirming our suspicions about Shiva’s brother’s involvement. Meanwhile, we were paying for our water and electricity needs by making monthly prepayments to Shiva’s factory — a “pay before you use” arrangement.

By September 2022, Shiva’s demeanour had taken a sinister turn; he demanded a staggering 150% increase in our water and electricity payments, despite us already exceeding our usage payment by 80%! Over time, his intimidation tactics escalated, as we became the daily targets of his relentless bullying. Foul words became commonplace, and we were left to endure his wrath.

December 2022 marked a grim milestone as we mourned the loss of seven beloved dogs, each departing for different reasons. By February 2023, Shiva severed our water and electricity supply, despite our consistent overpayment. Faced with adversity, we embraced self-sufficiency, harnessing solar power and rainwater harvesting. While solar power thrived, our rainwater harvesting required fine-tuning.

Fast forward to June 2023, and Shiva expanded his operations, securing a larger space behind his existing factory for his antique car collection repairs. Despite this shift, we remained within our territory, and our dogs occasionally ventured into his repair area at night. This led to a few complaints from his staff, who failed to grasp the benefits of our dogs’ presence, blinded perhaps by Shiva’s arrogance.

Then, in a dramatic twist of fate, September 2023 witnessed a harrowing robbery at Shiva’s recycling centre. Under the cover of midnight, intruders infiltrated the factory through an entrance opposite ours, adjacent to an open expanse. They corralled Shiva’s five on-site staff into a room, absconding with valuable machinery and the CCTV system! Did I say that his own dogs ran away when the robbers came?

Remarkably, Shiva’s cherished antique cars emerged unscathed. The very area that required entry was vigilantly guarded by our loyal dogs, who frequented the spot at night. These would-be thieves must have meticulously scouted the area, observing Mocha, the leader of our canine pack, wandering nearby. Mocha, gentle in demeanour, had been trained for a singular purpose — to protect against wildlife and intruders. Perpetrators stood no chance in the face of his unwavering resolve.

Ironically, it was Shiva himself who informed us of the robbery, a stark reminder of the inexorable workings of karma. In Sadhguru’s wisdom, found within his book on karma, he postulates that the accumulation of karma hinges not solely on its impact but on the intention behind the action. In Shiva’s case, his intention had been to oust us, but his actions spiraled back to haunt him. Had those robbers plundered his prized car collection, he would have faced losses approaching a million MYR!

And, as if by some cosmic decree, we once again have water and electricity supply on our land. The wheel of karma turns, unveiling its mysteries in ways both unexpected and profound.
