Kamala Harris: Does Biden’s choice guarantee the change that Americans desire?
The good collaboration will demand that you surrender a part of you

I am not in partisan politics; I am into good leadership, right governance for the benefit of the people. What fascinates me is a leader that cares for the people and knows how to do the best for the people regardless of the emotions involved.
Will the choice of Kamala harris make the huge difference in November election in favour of the Democrats? Maybe. I will keep my political prediction private for me to pass my message across effectively. I know we have people that want to see Biden+Harris win the election as opposed to Trump + Pence. That is not what this article is about.
Let us examine some of the facts that will work for Biden’s choice of Kamala Harris if the card is played well. Don’t let’s deceive ourselves, the person that wins in election most times is not the best candidate but the person that played the game well.
Without prejudice, it is evident that Biden made a wise choice and a good choice in Kamala Harris. Whether you belong to the right-wing or the left-wing, I think we can all agree on that simple fact.
There are many ‘firsts’ for Kamala Harris and now about to be first in a major office in America. Kamala Harris was the first woman district attorney of San Francisco, she was first woman attorney general of California, first Indian-American elected to the US senate. The first woman of colour named to a major-party national ticket.
The choice of Harris at this time is strategic to capture the black community because of the heightened awareness of racial justice. Something the Democrats might want to use against what they’ve accused the Trump camp of — sexism and racism. Anyway, good luck with that card if they think it will deliver the seat. The choice of Harris will definitely capture the Indian-American community. Harris is a strong debater and powerful campaigner.
Some believe that Kamala Harris was too tough as a prosecutor; even on black folks and might want to use that to reduce her influence in the black community. Good luck with that too, if it will work. Some, even believed she lost the presidential ticket on that note; but in my opinion, she won the important vote — Biden’s.
Strategic alliance
Kamala Harris has been trending since the announcement. I think where we should look at now is Biden’s decision to collaborate with Harris. Regardless of where we want to pitch our tent, I believe everyone should take out this lesson from Biden.
The big lesson
There are times we have an idea; beautiful and unique idea. Often, we become too emotionally attached to that idea. It’s like our newborn; with the colour of your eyes, the shape of your nose. You see yourself in this idea and the presence of a strong character around that idea threatens your ownership of it. So, instead of looking at how collaborating with this strength can work we begin to block that collaboration and rather look for a weaker one that wouldn’t threaten our ownership. The good collaboration will demand that we let go of our selfish attachment to our idea but it is for the success of the idea.
Conclusion,
This is often the dilemma of new inventors. That strength of character and good judgement to collaborate with a strong partner is key to progress. Even if the November election result will not favour the Biden’s team, the reason that team is getting a lot of attention now was the announcement of that choice of such a strategic and strong partner. Your idea, especially at a young stage needs such attraction. Everything about Kamala Harris together with the events of recent time was considered in her choice and I believe this should teach us a big lesson of making the right collaboration in what we do.

Congratulations Kamala Harris and may the people of America win in November.
God bless America!
