Kali-Yuga Blockbuster
Contemplating Dystopian Days
According to ancient Hindu wisdom, the present age in which we live was predicted long ago by far-seeing sages and isn’t known as the golden, silver, or even bronze age. Verily, ours is the iron age of Kali, goddess of dissolution. According to Indic scriptures, the decadence and entropy that we now see as prevalent everywhere are hallmarks of Kali’s temporal power. For instance:
“Spirituality, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, physical strength, and memory will all diminish day by day because of the powerful influence of the age of Kali.” ~ Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.1
In any case, today’s Anti-Poem has a decidedly cynical spin to it — so brace yourselves!

Kali-Yuga Blockbuster
Between the Depps and what we’ve Heard
These horrors verge on the ABSURD
Wasted life in lockdown
Amid our global sickness.
Active shooters massacre crowds
As the whole nation bears witness.
We’ve been had!
The war was lost.
Our state is sad,
We know the cost.
White privilege protests versus
Lives they don’t think matter.
Snow blindness makes them callous
Toward any other slaughter.
Except of course wherever
Black gold is concerned;
Then suddenly the cameras swivel
Whilst attentions swiftly turn —
Onto an evil empire who’s at least
Ten times as bad as us
At keeping the living, ‘thus’.
We’ve been had!
The war was lost.
Economy’s bad,
We foot the cost.
Dystopian days
Are here to stay.
Mahakala moons
Shall light the way…
