K-POP POWERHOUSE (G)I-DLE TEAMS UP WITH STEVE AOKI FOR “NXDE” REMIX

(G)I-DLE teams up with the 2x GRAMMY-nominated Steve Aoki for a remix

A new remix collaboration is here and I know I am excited to see what is in store. They are bringing together powerhouse group (G)I-DLE with sought after and impressive DJ, Steve Aoki for a new sound on the already successful song Nxde. This song already has surpassed well over 80 million views for their music video and I have a feeling the numbers will keep climbing once this new version comes out.

Steve Aoki had this to say about the collaboration

“Nxde has a powerful and inspiring message and I’m honored (G)I-DLE have asked me to remix it. I sped up the tempo, tweaked the groove, and kept their vocals at the forefront, creating plenty of sing-along dancefloor moments for our fans worldwide to enjoy.”

With that being said, I think it is safe to say that all the artists involved are excited to put this version out into the world. My curiosity is definitely piqued and excited to hear the new sound. If you haven’t had the chance to see the original video, I will drop that below.

The new remix of the single will be released on December 16, 2022 at 12am EST / 5pm KST.

A bit of background:

(G)I-DLE has been recognized for their topics of being confident in oneself, tackling social issues and topics that will connect with today’s audiences. The five members of the group are MIYEON, MINNIE, SOYEON, YUQI, and SHUHUA. The “G” in (G)I-DLE is a short for Girl, “I” means I as in myself, and “DLE” (들) is a Korean compound word used to form plurals. They are also self-producing artists.

Steve Aoki is an American DJ, producer, music programmer, and record executive. Straight from his website he also has his own foundation, which states “The Aoki Foundation has a primary goal of supporting organizations in the brain science & research areas with a specific focus on regenerative medicine & brain preservation.”
