When it comes to creating a new blog post is there any need to drag it out?

Sure, there are times when a 300–500 word piece won’t suffice, but for the most part, presenting your problem and coming to a solution can be done without all the fluff and filler.

Nowadays, it’s pretty much common knowledge that the human attention span is on the decline.

You only have to look at online adverts — thinking YouTube here — to see that if you don’t get your message across within the first five seconds or less then you’re pretty much wasting your time.

People aren’t interested in hearing a long, drawn-out message that may or may not benefit them in their busy, run-of-the-mill lives.

If you can give the reader exactly what they came for, in as least time possible, then it’s likely they’re gonna come back for more.

So, why not experiment with your next piece?

Instead of trying to make it sound as ‘professional’ and as ‘informative’ as a New York Times feature article, try speaking to your reader on a personal level and just get to the damn point with your writing.

Thanks for reading.
