Just Because Sometimes.....

A poem about how sometimes we neglect to say what matters.

Just because

Sometimes I don’t say I love you

Doesn’t mean to say

I don’t love you.

Just because

Sometimes I don’t say in your ear

All those sweet little things that you like to hear

Doesn’t mean to say I don’t want to be here.

Just because

Sometimes I don’t hold your hand

Doesn’t mean to say

I don’t understand.

Just because

Sometimes I can’t be around

Doesn’t mean to say

I don’t like the sound of I love you.

Well the sun comes up and the moon goes down

And this old world keeps on turning around

And the rain and the snow

They come and they go

But whatever you think

I want you to know

I still love you.

My heart and my soul are solid like a rock

And they will not be moved by the movement of a clock

My heart and my soul you have the key to unlock

All you need is the password to unchain and unblock

And the password is “ I still love you, you rock.”
