How my life shifted in June 1993

In 1993, as a screenwriter and actor, I was living the life of an artist in Paris and I was living sparsely in a maid’s room. I found odd jobs and from time to time, extras. My girlfriend lived 800 km away from me and our relationship was more like two bachelors seeing each other from time to time. I was tired of that life and really wanted to change it. When you’re at the end of something, you’ve come full circle, it gives you a tremendous strength to change levels and move on. They are windows of change opportunity. They come from saturation and awareness.

My brother and sister-in-law lived in Los Angeles, which they had to leave in July. They invited me. So I borrowed money for the trip and left in May for a month and a half. When I arrived at LAX, the Los Angeles airport, the telluric energy of the place seized me as the energy of the city itself. Already on the plane, I felt a new energy as if I was turning the page of my old life. During this trip, my personal frequency changed for good as if you were following on the same spiral pattern but on the higher level.

My brother had come by motorcycle and we rode through the streets at dusk from LAX to near Culver City. on Overland Blvd. My brother and sister-in-law could lend me a car so I could get around easily, go to the beach, Venice, Santa Monica, Malibu, and all around.

I wanted to discover the atmosphere of the city, producers to submit various synopses, visit different places, discover different ideas in progress about personal development and spirituality, or screenwriting which were my interests.

Sensations remain in my memory: the scent of flowers, the sun, the ocean.

What changed my life was not a meeting with a producer, I met a documentary producer but who wasn’t really in Hollywood. What really changed my life was a shift in energy and what followed.

Picking up free mags, I saw several ads, I was interested in: the Brain Mind Symposium in Los Angeles and the Whole Life Expo in San Diego. There I attended several very interesting conferences and participated in several workshops on meditation mainly.

One theme was present in the different conferences: the idea that we can change our lives with our thoughts. It was not a new idea for me but in 93 in California, the speakers gave it a new, more pragmatic perspective.

After these expos, I was refreshed and motivated to find books. I remember entering a large bookstore walking along the book shelves on the spirituality and self-improvement theme without looking, just running my hand along the books. Stopping when my hand got hot. This way, I discovered books on the subject, mainly one by John Randolf Price about the mind power.

Back home, my situation was desperate but I was not. I had no job and a large debt to my usual budget. So I started working daily on the books I had. I started with JacQuaeline’s color meditation in audio and then I worked on each color of the lottery ticket, mainly blue and yellow connecting them to the third-eye chakra and the solar plexus chakra. After a time of practice, I could the warmth inside my body all day long, I was immersed into this work. After 40 days of practice, I won the lottery.

With the money, I bought a new computer, returned the money I had borrowed, and attended a Chinese medicine class where I met my wife and above all, I knew now how I could change my destiny with my mind.

Thanks for the prompt to Dennett about June, though a bit late.
