Dancing Elephants Press invites writers to share joyful stories for their new book project, emphasizing the joy found in everyday moments and nature, and encourages participation in their weekly prompts.
Abstract
Dancing Elephants Press has issued a call for submissions with their 14th prompt of 52, asking writers to reflect on and share stories of joy in their lives. This initiative is part of a larger book project that aims to collect and celebrate the joyful moments that people experience, whether it be in nature, human interactions, or personal activities. The prompt was inspired by a serendipitous detour in Louisiana that led to the discovery of beautiful scenery, underscoring the idea that joy can be found in unexpected places. Contributors are invited to join the prompt by sharing their own experiences of joy and to use the hashtag #dancingelephantspress when responding. The editors, including Lady Dr. Gabriella Korosi and Vidya Sury, among others, encourage participants to infuse positivity into the world through their stories.

Joyfulness In Our Lives
Dancing Elephants Press Prompt 14/52
Life is a road. The picture was taken by Gabriella in the backroads of Louisiana in December 2022.
Joy, Joy come my way, stay please stay another day.
Life can take you off the planned road sometimes. This is how we ended up in the backroads in Louisiana after making a gas station stop. We were planning to get back on I-10 and somehow we went on a little detour. It was a lovely road and beautiful trees that I would not have seen if we had stayed on the main highway. I enjoyed the little detour even though it added an additional 15 minutes to our already long drive from Florida to Texas.
Joy can be found in many places around us in our lives. I see the joy in people, animals, smiles, nature, and more.
Where do you find joy in your life?
Is it a smile? Family? Friends? In the different activities do you do? Do you find joy in nature? Life in itself? What brings you joy? In the sunrise?
I love the sunrise. It brings me joy. This morning I looked outside and saw the beautiful sunrise and captured the moment with a short video. I would like to invite you to join the sunrise with me.
I hope you enjoyed this little video.
