Joy in the Simple Pleasures
November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Collecting Smiles”
Twisted ropes are so much fun!
A twisted rope is such simple fun Colorful joy lights a puppy’s eyes He plays in the grass, rolls, and runs snuggles close to us at night
Puppies are such sweet friends They live freely with abandon They have a love that never judges or ends They grow into loving and loyal companions
Just look at that smiling face! I’ve learned there’s no point in spending much money on toys for my dogs. They derive just as much pleasure from a rope or a fallen leaf, as any toy could bring.
We can learn a lot from puppies. Their soft whimpers can soften even the hardest heart. They find joy in the simplest pleasures in life. They don’t judge. They just love, simply and purely.
When their friends show up at their doorstep, they don’t ask, “What took you so long? Where have you been?” They don’t demand answers, only love. They accept us just as we are.
