joy
poetry & reflection

as we get older we internalize certain expectations about what constitutes as joy and what does not
we forget the little things that really ignites our passion because we were shamed for that twinkle in our eye for being too disruptive.
joy is hard to define but I reconnected once again when instead of pondering intellectually I tuned into my body
just as a dog wags her tail in joyous moments I find my body relaxing my face, my shoulders, my stance I find a lightness in my breath and a warmth through my soul.
