John Kelly Says Trump Should NOT Be Reelected
He joins a long list of Republicans
Some Republicans have spoken against Trump
There have been a large number of prominent Republicans who have worked closely with President Trump who are telling people not to vote for their former boss. There are others, such as George Conway and The Lincoln Project, who have been telling people for many months that Trump is not fit for office. Many are telling people to vote for Joe Biden in the election which is coming up very soon. Now John Kelly has joined that group (although his comments were supposedly made in private to friends).
Most people have made up their minds. Millions have already voted.
Jim Carrey, the famous actor, has now become a cartoonist. He has done a cartoon of Donald Trump and his former Chief of Staff, John Kelly. Thom Geier wrote in The Wrap on October 17, 2020, about Carrey’s new cartoon.
Geier wrote:
Specifically, Carrey questions why Kelly is criticizing Trump in private conversations with friends and through surrogates rather than make a public statement.
“Gee…it must have been hard for poor John Kelly to sit idly by with his mouth shut and his hands behind his back while the ‘most flawed’ and ‘pathetic’ person he had ever met put the entire country, and democracy itself, in peril,” Carrey wrote. “Care to go on the record, General Braveheart?”
The cartoon, which featured an image of Kelly, hovering over the shoulder of Trump as the President blew bubbles, is inspired by a CNN report on Friday that Kelly has told friends that Trump is “the most flawed person” he has ever known.
Jake Tapper on CNN reported that Kelly said about Trump,
“The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it’s more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life.”
A response from White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham was reported by Fox News: “I worked with John Kelly, and he was totally unequipped to handle the genius of our great President.”
As is characteristic of Trump, he has put out tweets demeaning Kelly and calling him names.
This election is important! Many Republicans have joined Democrats in supporting and voting for Joe Biden.
