Joey Learns a Transcendental Lesson
Daily random word Drabble — Wet
Joey, a hitman for the mob, was killed. The obtuse wisdom of Karma reincarnated him as a fish in Lake Erie.
Becoming sentient, Joey found himself all wet.
“Where am I!?” he yelled at a bunch of fish.
“Can’t talk right now,” a little fish shouted. “Can’t you see we’re in school?”
A yellow perch swam up. “Hi there, big boy. Name’s Blondie.”
“Where am I?” Joey asked, confused.
“The lake. You’re a carp, dude. A bottom feeder.”
“What the…?” Joey mused. “I’m a frickin’ bottom feeder. I used to make guys swim with the fishes, now I am one.”
HEY! Read a great Drabble by my friend, Miriam Connolly!
