Jesus Christ … The Essence of Easter
Today, celebrations, fun, dinners and holidays seem to overshadow the actual reason for Easter. Asking in the street, Why Easter? You will be surprised at the diverse
Jesus Christ… is the Essence of Easter.
Let us take some time to see Why and How this truth is applicable to you today as a Christian.
Who is CHRIST to you? Really?
- Adam Before The Fall.
Adam was made in the image & likeness of God.
Made as a dust plus the Breathe of God.
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7 NKJV)
Adam had Dominion; everything was subjected unto Man. This was the original plan of God for man.
’26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26–28 NKJV)
The Spirit of God confirmed this through the prophets what Dominion man was to possess.
6 “But one testified in a certain place, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him?
7 You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands.
8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him.” (Hebrews 2:6–8 NKJV)
- Adam After The Fall.
Adam became dead to the Spirit of God after his fall in the Garden of Eden.
Man became mere dust!
“In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19 NKJV)
Because of this, Man lost his grip and authority over the earth, and the fallen angels hijacked the RULERSHIP of the world from man. Afterwards, all men from Adam are at the mercies of all spiritual beings including satan and forces of darkness.
“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3–4 NKJV)
- The Debt of Sins.
Because of the fall of man, all men from Adam partake of these sins and the consequences including further demonic oppression. This was so because God, from the blood of that one man, created all the nation of men.
“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,” (Acts 17:26 NKJV)
Therefore, as a newborn baby into the world, sins, oppressions and possibilities of demonic oppression are hanging on them. This situation is why seemingly innocent babies can come down with Cancer and other ailments. No one is exempted, we are all indebted to these sins.
Below are the categories of the debts of sins we all owe:
Adamic Sinful Nature.
Adamic sinful nature by default… for from that one blood, all nations of men were made.
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned — ” (Romans 5:12 NKJV)
Inherited Sins from past Parents.
We also inherited sins of our past parents & their consequences…
Every sins committed by the past parents and their consequences are passed down to you. For God visits the iniquities of the fathers upon their children to the forth generations.
‘And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” (Exodus 34:5–7 NKJV)
Self Acquired and Self Reacting Sins.
Lastly, we incure some self acquired and self reacting sins from all of the above; We are either reacting to our ill backgrounds , or acquiring fresh sins due to direct demonic oppression,
It is a really pathetic situation for all humanity. Endless sins, oppressions, perversion, and wickedness. Interestingly, many attempt to control the self acquired category of sins, fair enough! Some training, life coaching, self determinations, religious teachings and all… However, the Adamic sins, and inherited past parents’ sins are beyond our control. Even in our best behaved state, we are still indebted to these inherited sins, hence susceptible to demonic interference and oppression: reasons while many well behaved still experience oppression of some sort.
Therefore, we all need a Saviour… Morality cannot wipe off these debts of sin. The Bible made this clear, that we all have sinned and therefore fallen short of the Glory of God. We therefore need a Saviour!
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23 NKJV)
“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5 NKJV)
These sins, when not paid, will lead to eternal death. Many began the punishment of these sins here on earth, while others paid fully for them after death.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 NKJV)
Good news, God had a planned to redeem humanity from these debts of sins. From the moment Adam fell, God started the redemption plan. From the son of Adam, He began the search for a willing heart; eventually got Abraham, piloted with him and his children, what it would be like for man to be in dominion on this earth; mimicking Righteousness through the introduction of the Laws.
Afterwards, through the prophets, God began to prophesy how He was going to carry out the redemption plan. The plan for a new specie of humanity, void of the inherited sins and oppression of the darkness, so they can possess the Life that Adam lost. This Messiah, born absolutely of GOD’s will.
“who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:13 NKJV)
Let’s read on…
- Jesus Christ, A Hybrid Man.
Jesus Christ was born a unique specie of Man. A Hybrid of God and Man.
He was Voice-Activated, (The angel spoke to the Virgin Mary, and the Holy Ghost empowered her to form Jesus Christ).
This uniqueness of birth was foretold many years before it’s execution.
“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14 NKJV)
When it was time, God fulfilled this prophesy by visiting a Virgin with the plan to deliver a Hybrid specie of man. A man both God and Man. Born through a Voice activation!
“And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35 NKJV)
Our Lord Jesus Christ was voice-activated, so that you can become related to Him, either through blood (Israelite), or through Voice (calling on Him as your Saviour).
‘For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.’ (Rom. 10:13 NKJV)
Therefore, you can now be related to Jesus Christ, even when you are not an Israelite; and can partake of His DNA, and everything He represents, including His punishment for sins, Death, Resurrection, and Freedom to Life!
JESUS CHRIST, the Essence of Easter!
- Jesus Christ, My Substitute.
As a non Israelite, through Voice activation (Calling on Jesus as your Lord), you are now related to Him. You become a Hybrid Specie… (Christ + You).
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” (John 1:12 NKJV)
Therefore, whenever any man call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, such became adopted into Jesus Christ’s lineage, through His Voice- activation part. It is to this reason scriptures made it clear that to be enlisted into the Kingdom of Christ, you have to CALL, or CONFESS with your Mouth, … Voice -Activation!
“For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NKJV)
The scripture said with the heart you believe, however, for salvation to occur, confession must be made… Voice Activation!
“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10 NKJV)
To this effect, the outcome is a New Creature, a Hybrid species. (Man and Christ).
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)
Therefore, moving forward, after receiving Jesus Christ, we partake of everything that Jesus Christ represent, His punishment of sins, His death, His Resurrection, Ascension, and Siting at the Right Hand of the Most High. The reality of this Substitution can earn man freedom in life.
“For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:27 NKJV)
- Jesus Christ, My Sacrifice.
Through Voice-Activation, you are now in Christ. You now partake of His punishment for sins, Death, Resurrection, and Freedom of Life.
Jesus paid fully for all sins, as planned, even before His death, as prophesied by the prophet Isaiah:
“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4–5 NKJV)
Therefore, all men that take advantage of this forgiveness opportunity, they are delivered from the inherited sins and their consequences.
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Galatians 3:13–14 NKJV)
This Sacrifice is apparent as one voice-activated with Christ, you also partake of His punishment of sins, death, resurrection, and freedom afterward!
“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death (Romans 6:3 NKJV)
This Sacrifice leads to freedom from the rule of darkness that is tormenting the whole world.
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13–14 NKJV)
- Jesus Christ, My Inheritance.
As a legal relative of Christ Jesus, not only do you partake of His death and resurrection, you can now partake of His Righteousness, Accessibility to God, Authority over forces of darkness, Dominion and Eternal Inheritance.
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV)
You also partake of Christ Access to God; all His Authority and Ownership to Life Eternal.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians 2:4–6 NKJV)
- Your Salvation Is Your Call.
Wondering with this above episode, why are many Christians sick, oppressed and still with several abnormalities? This is because, though this opportunity to be related to Christ is available for all, only those who embrace it through faith that will benefit from it.
It is of faith, that it might be through Grace. It is your duty to receive and choose LIFE. The Spirit of God made it clear that the Choice is yours!
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 19I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;” (Deuteronomy 30:15, 19 NKJV)
You will not be going to Hell because of your sins, it will be because of the rejection of the forgiveness opportunity in Christ Jesus.
God has placed before everyone today, LIFE and Death…CHOOSE LIFE.
Jesus Christ, the Essence of Easter!
Not only are we to receive Jesus Christ through voice activation (Confession), we are expected to insist on the dividends and benefits of this newness (Hybrid with Christ) through faith. When many don’t enforce their rights in Christ, they can still suffer from their ignorance, unbelief, and lack of faith!
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (I Timothy 6:12 NKJV)
For without faith, we can not please God.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)
