Jesus Christ is the Coolest F*cking Dude Who Ever Lived

We are talking about the dude that turned water into wine. I mean come on. Thats a friend that we all want. Yet, some of us are so quick to forget. We either think God is boring, or mean, but he is dynamic, loving, and wonderful.

Aside from turning water into wine, as if he need do anything else, he healed the lepers, and opened blind eyes. Basically, if you had a problem, Christ was your solution. He healed. He set free. He restored. And the same is true today. Jesus is just as cool today as he was 2000 years ago.

Personally, I can’t get over how cool Jesus is. One of my favorite instances involving Jesus is when one of the Pharisees, trying to trap him, asked him if they should give tribute to Caesar, with regard to taxes.

Now Jesus, knowing he is being set up, says to the Pharisee, Give me a Denarius. Which was a coin. And he said, who’s face is inscribed on this stone? And they said Caesars. So Jesus said, then give tribute unto Caesar what is Caesars, and give unto God what is Gods.

Pure Genius. I love it.

Or how bout when Peter asked Jesus if they need to pay taxes? And Jesus basically says they don’t need to, but so that no one be offended, they are better off paying the tax.

Now Jesus tells Peter, a fisherman, to catch a fish and reach in his mouth to receive a coin to pay the tax for both Jesus and Peter. Peter is the fisherman, but here he puts his trust in Jesus, to receive the coin.

The same is true today. Our supply is in Christ, not our profession.

Or how bout when Jesus fed the five thousand? He broke bread and gave thanks. Jesus Christ is our supply. All we have received that is good is from the Father and the Son.

I can’t help but open the gospel and be overwhelmed with the awesomeness of Christ.

How about when he calmed the raging sea?

Jesus is on a boat with a bunch of fisherman, and they are freaking out, believing they are going to drown. They wake Jesus up and he basically laughs, says, big deal, and with a word, calms the raging sea.

So cool.

So f*cking cool.

And when he spoke, he spoke in parables, in mystery. His words needed to be pondered and thought upon.

And when he healed, he often said let it be done as you believe.

There is one particular instance which is super cool, and that’s when a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of his garment. For she said to herself, if I only touch his garment I will be made well. And Jesus turned around and said, “Be of good cheer, daughter, your faith has made you well.”

Now, was she Jesus’ daughter, that he called her daughter? Or was it God, the heavenly Father, speaking in him, calling her daughter? For Jesus said what the Father said, and did as the Father did.

Jesus said that he was One with the Father, he in the Father, and the Father in him. Which would explain why and how Jesus was able to forgive sins while on Earth, for he told the paralytic man to be of good cheer, for his sins were forgiven.

I can’t get over how cool Jesus was, and is. In my book it’s easy to see, he was and is the coolest dude who ever lived.

He was bold and strong, yet gentle and kind, caring and compassionate, joyful and abounding in hope.

There are literally dozens of accounts in the Bible that demonstrate just how cool Jesus is. But the best way to really know how cool Jesus is, is to give your heart to him, and acknowledge him as Lord, and Savior. For then you will have this dynamic and powerful force working within you. Then you will know, for sure, how cool he is. How loving he is. How gentle he is. How powerful he is.

And I have left out the coolest thing Jesus did for all of us. He died for us, took all our sin and shame, defeated death, hell, and sin, and rose again. Resurrected in power. Because he is the coolest f*cking dude ever. He has all the power. And he defeated Satan. And his love is overwhelming. He loves you so much. He went to the cross for you. He wants to be your everything. For he thinks the world of you.

Jesus literally loves you more than life. And he is the coolest dude ever. So, you have nothing to lose, right? Get to know him. Open your bible. If you need a best friend, he is always available.

God bless.
