Japonica Writing Contest—Your Best Travel Experience in Japan!

Japan is among the top travel destinations in the world. From the breathtakingly beautiful city of Kyoto, to endless varieties of food in Osaka, the powder-snow slopes of Niseko, and the iconic sight of Mount Fuji, there is something for every traveler in Japan!

While Japan has been closed to tourists throughout the pandemic, the country may start to reopen from June.

In this spirit, we’re launching our first ever Japonica Writing Contest! Tell us your best travel experience in Japan. Help our readers discover the hidden gems and underrated spots to help them plan their next vacation.

Submission Window

Deadline: Stories must be submitted by 10 June 2022.
Stories will be published as they are accepted.
Winners will be announced by 30 June 2022.
