While Jane was out having fun with the others, Veronica was spending an emotional night with her boss, Maria. They stayed up late, watching movies, as Maria tried to help Veronica take her mind off her sadness.

The sensitive supervisor understood that it would take a lot of time to heal the wounds, but she hoped to make Veronica feel better, any way possible.

Maria noticed teardrops forming in Veronica's eyes. She raised her by the chin and wiped away the tears. She didn't understand why she was doing it, but she closed her eyes and gave Veronica a soft kiss on the lips.

Veronica s head popped up, and she looked straight into the eyes of her supervisor. She didn’t understand why, but the kiss made her feel just a little bit better.

Veronica always cared about Maria, more than she did almost any other person. However, she wasn’t sure if she felt better because the kiss reminded her of her intimacy with Jane.
