I’ve Made a Bid For a Sky Couch

I love Air New Zealand.

I’ve travelled on several airlines and am simply always impressed with their friendliness and service.

Sunday, I start my homeward-bound trip. I passed through New Zealand (NZ) last November but haven’t truly been home in over four years.

Am I excited? You bet — aside from the horridly long flight to get there.

I received an email from Air NZ to make an offer for an upgrade from economy to either a sky couch or a premium economy seat. It’s a cool opportunity I’ve not seen on any other airlines.

I opted for the sky couch and placed my bid. Three seats to myself far outweigh nicer meals and a bigger, more reclinable seat. My biggest issue on long-haul flights is sleeping while sitting upright.

Fingers crossed my journey is horizontal!
