I’ve Just Finished My First Ebook To Publish on Amazon: Let Me Tell You How I Did It
If you’re a blogger, you don’t have to write 300 pages to publish an Ebook and earn real money.

When I read that email from Tim Denning and Todd Brison, I immediately recognize a considerable business opportunity was in front of my eyes.
They joined to build an online course on The Amazon Book Publishing Shortcut.
The price was not an issue because I saw the potential of 10 ebooks, not just one.
As their explanation ended, I went to the website but realized it was too late. Registrations were sold out.
As I’m a stubborn writer, I sent an email to Tim asking him if it was possible to join the group. Fortunately, Tim said someone that week had given up due to illness and I was accepted on the course.
One of the tools I immediately recognize in this course was the possibility to collect the best articles written annually, organize them coherently, and publish them on the Amazon website and profit from it.
More than that, you can publish twice a year if you write five articles per week as I do.
And the best thing about knowing how to publish on Amazon is that you can get better and better every time you publish another ebook.
Never get a short time desire get in the way of a long term goal.
When I first heard Todd Brison saying that we wouldn’t have to write the first ebook from scratch because we have all the content right in our own blog, I realized my portfolio of articles was already my first ebook.
In the course, Tim and Todd gave us all the docs to build an ebook by the rules. So, we just had to select our best articles, rearrange the logical sequence, edit more details, create a better readable landscape, and publish it.
I have more than 250 articles already written. Of course, the first 50 are not as good as I’d like, but as a non-native writer, I think I did a good progression in my grammar and structure.
I already have some clients that pay me for my writing, something I never dreamed of in such a short period. And I’m enjoying writing every single day.
This means I already have my second ebook in my head, and I am ready to allow myself to earn some more money.
But how am I organizing this whole process?
A sealed book, at whose contents we tremble.
I read at least one book per month, I love to do research, and technology and innovation are my passion. And as we are in a decisive Exponential Age, where everything is being digitized into the Internet of Things, or internet 3.0, my experience writing about this subject has been a true journey.
My readers comment very effusively on some of my articles. Some pieces are controversial opinions about the future. Some readers do not agree with my views; others follow everything I write with the greatest admiration.
After I select my 21 best articles, I started to build my table of contents. Right now, it looks like this:

As an indie writer, if you’re an expert on Self-Improvement, Finance, Love, Travelling, Cooking, Politics, Education, Technology, Life, or others, you can publish an ebook.
Just collect the best writing pieces you have, put them to find a continuous logic of thought, and you have the model of your first ebook ready to be published.
But that’s not enough to publish an ebook, is it?
An expert in anything was once a beginner.
Todd Brison works for years with clients on Amazon. He turned expert as an Amazon publisher, but also as a technician.
The platform owned by Jeff Bazos has many technical details on how to publish an ebook, but especially on how to potentialize Amazon’s algorithm.
And Todd is the expert on that matter.
Amazon heads the ranking of the most popular shopping apps in the US with 150.6 million mobile users. 89% of buyers agree that they are more likely to buy products from Amazon than other eCommerce sites. Forbes has famously said, “Amazon has earned our trust by delivering the products we want, on time, intact, in the same branded brown boxes — consistently.” Amazon’s Prime membership program continues to reach an increasing number of online shoppers. There are currently 150 million Prime subscribers.- oberlo.com
Having your ebook published and accessible on the best platform on earth is something special. And with the help of Todd Brison and Tim Denning, you have two experienced writers to support your work and deliver the best chance for you to be successful on Amazon.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.
When I finished the table of contents of the first ebook, I already knew what to do in preparation for the second one.
As I already have the model from the first book, I can create all the headlines of my second book, even before I write the articles. Meaning, I already have my second table of content built, and I’m writing each piece I previously prepared.
I’ll do the same in the third ebook, in the fourth, and so on.
The best thing about this anticipated way of working the following ebook is that, in your mind, the models are constantly improving, the sequence of articles will have an even more continuous logic, and the final result will be more coherent, increasing your reputation and relevance in the best retail website in the world.
But the cherry on the top of the cake comes from the fact that you’re earning twice as much money.
If your ebooks are having relative success, they are putting money in your pocket every month. But those same articles are already paying you on the best indie writing platform in the world.
Hence, you can have two sources of income and only have to write once.
Final Thoughts
I’m almost finishing my third and final editing round.
The next step will be to listen again to all the lessons from the course to remember the technical details.
The most important part of the ebook is the cover.
I already have someone doing some sketches from 100covers.com to send me for my approval. And that’s it.
Having your first digital product online is like seeing your firstborn child for the first time.
I couldn’t get to this point in my short writing career without the help of people like [arlie] PEYTON, Sinem Günel, Todd Brison, and Tim Denning, that shared their vast experience and knowledge.
I have also had my Medium friends supporting me all the time, like ScienceDuuude, Jan Vajda, Rui Alves, and Rocco Pendola.
My journey as a full-time writer started in December 2020. It’s nine months long. People like Tim and Todd write on Medium for more than five years.
So, if you’re a beginner, the best advice I can give you is to be persistent because this is not a 100-meter race; it’s an ultra-marathon.
Send some emails, try to contact experienced writers. They love to help young writers. Feel like a kid asking stupid questions. Those questions will turn into answers, and you move on, improve, be better, and wiser.
You must go on a long journey before you can really find out how wonderful home is.- Tove Jansson
