It’s Time, Are You Ready?
Wednesday Prompt: Unfreezing the body armour
Are you ready to take your full gear to face the battle?
Every day we have to decide, and we have to ask ourselves: what do we want to accomplish today? Are we just sitting and do nothing? Or move our body and do the things we need to do? Are we going to groceries today? Do I need to call someone today? Those questions are questions we’re facing somehow. It may be different to most of you, but there’s a decision we need to make every day.
I always think that there’s a battle we need to fight in life, such as decision-making. Sometimes, it’s hard to make a decision.
Even though I know anyhow what I wanted in life, I still struggle with making a decision. I finished college, and I’m still figuring out where do I apply for my career. I need to make a decision on which location do I want to work. Yes, I want to be a Laboratory Technician, which what I’ve studied, but I still have to figure out if I want to do my placement on a location close to my place or at the other place where I have to take public transit.
I don’t want to get married yet or even go on dates, but I want to have my own family in the future. I may have to face the question: who do I want to be with for the rest of my life?
With every decision we have to make, we have to unfreeze the freezing armour we have. I know it’s redundant, but it’s our protection in life. We have to prepare when we make decisions because every decision we make may have consequences.
For example, you decided to speed up on a maximum car limit speed. If you get caught, you have to face the consequence of paying for charges.
Another example of decision making when you decided to come to work today, for sure, you will get paid and earn money.
I know these examples are simple, but when we make decisions, there might have consequences, and we should be ready and prepared for the results.
To be prepared, we must wear our body armour, our hearts to do whatever we want to do in life. We must arm ourselves to face the battle — the decision-making in life.
I know that it is easier than done, but I have learned that we should always be prepared to face the battle because we don’t know when we encounter it. We don’t know when do we need to make decisions in life.
It’s time, are you ready? Are you all gear up? Therefore, be prepared, unfreeze your body armour and just go with what life has to offer. We cannot skip decision-making; we have to face it.
