It’s the Weekend — Chase Your Dreams
You have two days every week to build the life you imagine
When I was a kid my favorite minute of the week was when 2:59 PM crawled toward 3:00 PM on Friday afternoon. The anticipation was one part excruciating and another part exhilarating.
The weekend had finally arrived.
School is exhausting. Work is worse. And even if you love what you do the weekdays are all about the grind. Set alarm clocks. Clothes that look better than they feel.
There’s a reason TGIF is a thing.
And a lot of us don’t love what we do. We sleepwalk through the week so that we can sleep in on the weekends. It’s a cycle of death.
But what if you broke the cycle?
Starting today what if you woke up to chase your dreams instead of merely dreaming them?
I used to limp through Saturdays and spend most of Sunday dreading Monday. Now I wake up without an alarm, excited to read and to write. The weekend is when I have time to go all out.
And I love it.
To some, it’s excruciating to “work” on the weekend.
But if you’re chasing your dreams?
It’s exhilarating.
