It’s Madness

A rap about grief after losing a parent

It’s madness,

tryna hold back this sadness,

tryna not fade to blackness,

but it happens,

and it’s madness,

Because you have been right there since,

the day I was born, ‘96,

and now there is this blankness,

in my life,

there is this absence,

So, I’m right here feeling ratshit,

but I really got to study for exams, see?

Life goes on, and it’s tragic,

make the tears disappear like magic, man,

You were meant to be like Stephen Hawking,

you were meant to beat the disease,

you would keep on walking,

you would keep the faith,

you would find a way,

you were meant to stay,

tell me, why would a god wanna take a dad away?

I wrote this rap soon after losing my dad to motor neuron disease. Sending my thoughts, love, and prayers to all affected by this horrible disease ❤
