It’s Just a Matter of Time

*Out of nowhere* everything came into existence

Out of nowhere, your parents met. Either fell in love, or it was mere coincidence, that union ignited the atoms of your existence.

Part of your being is the natural growth of your body and brain, discovering the capabilities of your humanity. Continuing the evolution, you stood on two feet and fell on your b*tt. Out of nowhere — you started to walk.

Out of nowhere, you were already eighteen. Hormones were shooting in all directions, enjoying or suffering; you got here — the point of no return to become an adult.

Out of nowhere, you are on your own. With every step you take, your adulthood unfolds. Suddenly, all the skills learned in your youth became the tools to survive. Time to find out what you are going to become. Out of nowhere — you are a grown man.

The choices that you’ll make will mark the foundations of your life. Out of nowhere, you’ll meet your first formal love. For good or wrong, your boat will grow, and you will need to raise the sails because the load gets heavier in every curve.

Out of nowhere, you are already thirty. It’s time to compound your skills and convert them into superpowers. The older you grow, the greater the responsibilities — time to pull and tighten the ropes.

When you are on the high seas of your maturity, storms and doubts will come, reinforcing your abilities to secure your rudder. It will be time to focus on what motivates your life.

It’s just a matter of time before you discover your true self. Empowered of your own life, out of nowhere — you have found your promised land.

Now you will have the chance to experiment with what you have accumulated in your hands. Chances are, most of what you did was out of error and trial — no time for regrets.

You are around the corner from turning fifty years old. It’s the age to put the lever in fifth gear; you are almost there — the finish line of success. But time weighs more heavily on your back every day. The time to decelerate is coming. You’ll notice gray hair abounding on your head.

It’s just a matter of time before you start to realize; you have to slow down. Out of nowhere, you will know that you have reached the end.

The time has come to recount the true treasures you accumulated on your journey.

You’ll realize that the real jewels will not be the fancy cars you bought, but the mindset with which you drove your life. Neither the expensive watch you wear, because in the end, not even with all your physical treasures auctioned together — you won’t be able to buy back time.

It’s just a matter of time that you’ll discover. Everything just matters, even dark matter; and one day, all things will have an end — and will turn into cosmic dust.

That is why we cannot fixate on vain things that disappear with time. The only (and it’s not even a thing) that I can count on as part of eternity — is love.

The love we gave to our parents for having been instruments of our creation.

To the relationships we gave actual value, sharing with them everything we had without harboring envy or ambition to keep the best for ourselves.

To the strangers who crossed our lives, and we share a little of our knowledge without asking for anything in return — we all sail in the same boat of life.

And to our children, the legacy we leave them will simply be our example of how generous we lived.

It is only a matter of time that you realize that we came into being out of nowhere, and what exists now will disappear into nothingness.

You won’t be able to take anything with you and you might as well leave a wonderful memory of love and sharing in this life.
