A haiku on self-care
Self-love, compassion Disciplined mindful practice; Self-care state of mind.
To cultivate a self-care state of mind we must intentionally and mindfully love ourselves first. We must be self-disciplined and move through life with integrity. We must meet ourselves with compassion. We must relate to ourselves mindfully, warmly and positively and accept ourselves with all of our imperfections. We must treat self-care like a practice so that it permeates the very fabric of our being. We must move beyond reward and punishment, past the doings of self-care, and instead, become self-caring.
