It’s Better That Just One Person Drowns Than Both People Drown

Have you ever tried to save someone who just couldn’t be saved?

I’m sure you’ve tried to help people in your life. Unless you’re an uncaring dick head, you will help those you care about.

But what if someone is beyond your help? What if helping that person means giving everything you’ve got, to the point of exhaustion?

And then what if that person still can’t be saved in the end?

Jordan Peterson has this advice:

“When people are really lost, sometimes they’re so lost that they can’t be found… If someone who is sinking has their hands around your neck and is pulling you down, you are not obligated to drown with them.”
