How to Observe This Offbeat Holiday
What you’ll need is a mirror. And an open mind with a good attitude.
• Stand in front of the mirror. Take a really good look at what you see.
• Start by complimenting yourself on how terrific you look. This works for both men and women.
• If you want to take it a step further, compliment yourself on at least one feature that you see in your reflection — your eyes, your hair, your legs. Whatever you see that you like.
• Next, compliment yourself on something — or several things! — that are inside you. What inspires your self-confidence? What have you done that makes you feel proud? Who (whom!) have you helped?
Don’t skimp here; be generous with your compliments. This part might take a while. How exciting is that?
• Now compliment your mirror for showing this beautiful person — inside and out — to you.
Breathe. How do you feel now? Let that feeling fill your heart and your mind.
