World Poetry Day 2023 Contribution

Poetry explores the inward emotions and outward observations in the deep recesses of our essence, using words that convey these introspections not conveyable the same in another form, expressed in images, colors, and music unveiled in lines of verse.
Poetry reveals something more than what we first believe and might be dull, like fixing a door, later discovering at another level, complexity, and depth, something about life’s mysteries, no longer just words describing how to repair a warped door.
Poetry is our excuse to examine hidden things, bubbling up when life throws us a curve. They are deep and dark, big-picture things: death, desire, a broken heart, the nature of existence, and the enigmas of nature itself.
Poetry allows our thoughts and emotions to flow forth, revealing them to the world as metaphors, sharing an up-close experience, dreamy imagery, and surprises — gripping the seeker of venture and reflectiveness who partakes in the magic of verse.
Including up to five other writers who might be interested in participating, as stated in Carolyn Hastings’ article:
John O'Neill Ray Day Carlo Zeno Misbah Sheikh Donna Rayne Stoycoff
