It Is Traitor Time

Who will be the treacherous one tonight?

It is that time once again, To watch the Traitors on the TV show. You watch an episode and then some more. It is not real, just another TV show.

The night is cold and the skies are dark, There is no one out in the garden or park. The traitors walk with lamps in the night, Furtively they move away from sight.

The traitors’ scheme and they will always lie, They gather and smile as they watch others die. The mark of a traitor is not always the popular or silent one, But the one who manipulates and lies to everyone.

Have you ever met a traitor in your life, Was it someone close like a spouse or a friend? Did you feel the knife twist in your side, As they betrayed you at the bitter end?

Watch as the traitors walk and climb, Up that treacherous path every time. “Trust no one”, in the game, is their secret code, Living life dangerously is their active mode.

Poet’s Note: The inspiration for this poem was from the TV show, “Traitors”.
