POETRY/WOMEN/RAPE
‘IT’ Is Not Meant For That
A poem

IT is not an instrument of subjugation or oppression IT is not an instrument of war IT is not an instrument of power or lordship IT is not an instrument of punishment IT is not meant to instill fear IT is not meant to express power IT is not meant to express ownership IT is not meant to deliver justice IT is a part of you and not the curse of you
You are not it. It is not you You are created with it as a component part To be used by purpose and design The creator who formed you from dust gave you: Eyes to see Ears to hear Nose to breathe Mouth to speak Hands to work Legs to walk A body to take care of as a steward of God’s gift — A reflection of His image
IT so she could take pleasure and delight in your form IT so you could give her pleasure IT so you could come together in pleasure and passion IT so you could bring forth offspring and heirs
