It is 6 degrees Celsius here as I come back from posting a letter. Yes, I write letters. I see a man I know with his dog at my corner but he does not come closer and I cannot move toward him. We chat five yards apart, sadly. But then I see the shining white orb in the clouds overhead. So bright that I smile, knowing more light is coming. Two minutes more each evening- distinguishable now. My hope rises. The orb fades into the grey clouds so slowly, as if to say “I am still here, spring will come in time”.

I am lifted high up feeling edified and hopeful. The sun had shone for me as a white ball in the sky. And just now my housemate has moved in. I am no longer alone. My cup runneth over.
