Is your hustle worth it?

We all know what hustle means — pushing ourselves to work harder to achieve something against all odds.

While working hard for our goals and our dreams is important, the word hustle has become more or less a buzz word lately. Self-help books are filled with it. Most of us are sadly using the word in the wrong context altogether.

I read. I read a lot — from books to Linkedin posts, Medium articles, and whatever Google has to offer. One of the things I have discovered is some of us think working three jobs simultaneously is a hustle. Maybe it is. But if you aren’t focused on the jobs, it’s not a hustle. It’s just bad decision making and wastage of precious time. You could have spent that time with your loved ones or on taking care of yourself.

Unfortunately, most of us have fallen in that trap. We don’t believe we can achieve anything with 40 hours of work per week anymore. We need an extra 20–30 hours on two other jobs.

Well, for some of us those extra hours might be a necessity — to earn some extra bucks to support our families. It’s understandable. But most of us put in that extra shift just to achieve our goals (faster). All of that by placing our body, mind, and soul at risk.

If you’re truly getting things done then your extra work is worth your time. If not, I would ask you one question:
