Is There Really a Deserted Island?
And have you ever been there?
Okay, so you are all alone on a deserted island way out in the middle of some ocean. You are sitting on a pristine beach, sand between your toes and in other places, and you are looking out over the seemingly endless ocean.
The ocean stretches to every horizon. Anything beyond the surrounding horizons are products of memory and imagination. There is always a distance between you and those realities.
There is always an ocean between yourself and everything else.
Can you imagine that?
How deeply do you connect to that ocean?
What is the difference between the ocean and that which it separates?
And what about that digital ocean our feet are dangling in?
Can we reconnect continents by dangling our feet in the same ocean?
Like the birds, can we fly over it all and still feel all the connections? Can we gain aerial perspective on things? Do we have the wings to fly us into those places which we have always dreamed of going?
Being on a deserted island, everything becomes a choice. Every movement changes reality. Every occurrence is in plain sight. We can choose what horizon we want to watch.
We can always choose which ocean to cross and which perspectives to embrace. There are at least 360 different ways to go and every way is a gateway into that which we visualize.
With your toes in the beach sand, your elbows on your knees, and your head on your hands, what are you gazing at? The sky and the ocean provide a simple backdrop for galactic stories to be played out upon. The focus is always on the horizon. That is where all the action is about to erupt from.
Going round and round and round and round the planet, do you ever wonder if you will ever run out of horizons? Will there always be new horizons to venture into?
And how many times must you circle this planet before you have the full experience? Like a kitty cat, are you chasing your tail? Is every revolution around the planet truly different and new?
And how often do you forget about the horizon and focus on the space immediately around you at any given moment?
Are you looking at the horizon far beyond the bay or are you looking at the campfire around which your life is dancing?
It’s good to have a beach nearby. If that is not doable then a lake or even a small pond will do. The key element is water.
Can you close your eyes and find yourself all alone on your own personal deserted island? Hey, we’ve all got one. That’s right, we all have our own personal deserted island. How often do you go there?
How often do you sit in the sand on the beach of your island and look out over the horizon?
What do you see?
