Is Money Everything?
A Sad Reality
In a world where money holds sway, Its power shapes our lives each day. A force that drives us to strive and seek, Toiling for wealth, week after week.
With its touch, dreams can be realized, Aspirations soar, goals materialized. It opens doors to opportunities rare, Elevating some to a life beyond compare.
Money can build castles tall and grand, Fulfilling desires with an open hand. Luxuries abound, comfort embraced, A life of abundance, no need to chase.
But in its shadow, lies a darker side, Where souls can wither and dreams subside. For those lacking, life can be a trial, Struggling for basics, living in denial.
Inequality deepens, divisions grow, As fortunes flourish, others fall low. Money breeds power, it fuels greed, Leaving some in despair, in dire need.
Yet, let us not forget, money can be kind, A tool for good, compassion intertwined. It can uplift lives, support the weak, Provide education, a brighter path to seek.
But true wealth lies beyond what’s spent, In relationships, love, and contentment. For money alone cannot bring joy, Nor heal the wounds that life may deploy.
So let us strive for balance and grace, Acknowledging money’s rightful place. May we seek wealth, not at any cost, But with compassion, and values not lost.
For in the end, it’s the human touch, The bonds we forge, the love we clutch, That gives life meaning, purpose, and worth, Far beyond the power of money’s girth.
