Is it Love, Lust, Or Agonizing Diarrhea?

How to tell the difference and are any of them curable?

Sweaty palms, goose bumps, loose bowels and an oddly familiar stomach ache are your only symptoms. You met a new man that you like a lot, but you also went swimming in a public pool and ate Mexican food for lunch. Hence, your state of confusion. Is this stomachache a result of one or all of these factors? Are you in love? Or do you have Ebola? With any luck, by the time you are done reading this article, you will know.

Love

According to Google, specifically livescience.com, the symptoms of love are bouncing between exhilaration, euphoria, increased energy, sleeplessness, loss of appetite, trembling, a racing heart and accelerated breathing, as well as anxiety, panic and feelings of despair when your relationship suffers even the smallest setback.

As one of many people on the planet with a nervous stomach, I would like to add stomach aches and bouts of intense diarrhea to the list. That can’t be just me?

Lust

According to Webster’s dictionary, lust is a very strong sexual desire. Some people might refer to this as horniness. According to a friend of mine, lust can also be felt for objects, not just people. Or in some really weird cases, feet. I just wanted my readers to be aware of that, because if I have to visualize it then so do you.

This is not one of my symptoms so I am going to cross this one off the list.

Diarrhea

Unfortunately, as someone diagnosed many years ago with Crohn’s disease, diarrhea is something that plagues me all too often. It could be from something I ate, it could be from my nervous stomach, or it could be from the amount of love that I have emanating from my cold, callused heart.

Other people with nervous stomachs and/or gastrointestinal problems will be able to relate to me on this.

Conclusion

This is not a science project. I don’t have the answer to this question, because I still think falling in love feels like you’re getting a stomach virus. According to me, the leading expert in this article, the symptoms of love and diarrhea are exactly the same. You’re welcome. The only way to know for sure what ails you is to take Immodium. It will only cure the symptoms of one.
