Is It a Window Or a Mirror?

Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Freestyle”

The perspective plays tricks on us.

Chefchaouen (chef-sha-win) is located in the northern part of Morocco and is famous for its mostly blue walls.

In fact, its nickname is “The Blue City.”

It has started to find its way on the tourist trail in the past few years, but it still is not as busy with foreigners as Marrakech or Casablanca are.

After arriving in Tangier, we made our way directly to Chefchaouen. So it was our first taste of true Moroccan culture. We fell in love with it for many reasons, but its location was certainly at the top of our list. The city sits in a bowl of towering mountain peaks and almost every building has an incredible view of the valley below.

Water runs out of the mountains, and we were able to fill our bottles from any tap in the village, with fresh clean water.

The fresh mountain air was delicious as well!

I noticed this lovely scene one day while I was high up in one of the buildings of the Chefchaouen Medina. The image through the frame was so crisp and clear that I couldn’t help but take a picture. While looking through my photos later, I realized that it was really hard to tell if it was a window or a mirror.

Of course, I know the answer! But do you?

Let me know in the comments. I’m interested to see what you think!
