Investing in Crypto? Watch These Shows First (Before You Lose Everything!)
As a consultant for Web3 companies, and as a blockchain enthusiast, I spend my days buried in crypto — new projects, regulations, the whole rollercoaster. So, when I stumbled upon “Bitconned” and “Crypto Boy” on Netflix, my curiosity was piqued. Here was a chance to see the crypto world through a different lens — the dark underbelly.
Let me tell you, these shows weren’t holding back. “Bitconned” exposed the jaw-dropping fraud behind Centra Tech, the company promising a revolutionary crypto debit card. It was shocking to see these founders living like kings while building a house of lies. Their whole scheme imploded, a stark reminder of what happens when ambition goes unchecked in this wild west.
“Crypto Boy” took a more personal route. It followed Amir, a young guy lured into crypto by the siren song of easy money. He hooked up with some shady characters who convinced him to invest in their “guaranteed return” scheme. Spoiler alert: it was a scam, leaving Amir broke and almost estranged from his dad.
These shows were entertaining, but they also hit hard. They hammered home some crucial lessons for anyone even thinking about crypto: don’t let dreams cloud your judgment, be skeptical of anything promising instant wealth, and most importantly, family always comes first.
So, if you’re even remotely curious about crypto or have ever been tempted by those “get rich quick” schemes, you need to watch these shows. They might just change your mind. And who knows, maybe you’ll learn something that saves you from a similar crypto catastrophe.
