Introducing Hi, The Next Big Thing in Cryptocurrency

Let’s All Get Hi Together

Living in an age of altcoins it is often difficult for new cryptocurrency assets to stand out, but at the same time when one does, it is likely to shine very brightly. While recently surveying the landscape for cryptocurrencies and something new that can shake up the space, I was aghast that not much had really changed. A vast majority of cryptocurrencies are still trying to find viability in the public space. Another interesting note about most cryptocurrencies is their difficulty to use and pick up by the less technologically capable. However, I recently stumbled upon one altcoin that is more than capable of being used by anyone’s technologically inept uncle. Introducing the Hi Dollar.

Overview of the Coin

Hi is a fascinating new cryptocurrency that was recently brought to my attention. It’s easy to use and will definitely be a competitor in the future of cryptocurrency owing to its integration with commonly used mobile applications such as telegram and Whatsapp (there are more planned in the future such as Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and others).

Hi Dollar aims to allow people to quickly move funds around while also controlling their financial lives. Hi is currently an ERC-20 token but will eventually be migrated over to a proof of stake asset. This is because of the future roadmap the developers have planned for Hi Dollar. From extensive use in daily life to dApps which will support interaction with the Hi Dollar, along with the planned interest yields on savings — it is a sensible move to make. Overall, the technology of the coin at present is solid and the future roadmap is reasonable relative to other currencies.

Sign Up and Use

I personally have been using the platform in Telegram, and it is amazingly sleek, intuitive, and straightforward. Getting set up on the HI platform has probably been one of the easiest experiences in the cryptocurrency world to date. To sign up you need a current users referral link since the platform is in its beta stage (check out the photo below for mine or follow this link on your phone: https://hi.com/Nicso). All it takes is downloading Telegram or Whatsapp (if you don’t have them already) and then pressing a couple of buttons. After that, you are active and can proceed with KYC for access to more features.

From the main dashboard, a user can claim their daily reward, invite others to join the platform, send cash, utilize a CashHash (sending money anonymously), check your savings balance (earn interest), deposit Hi Dollars, withdraw Hi Dollars, see your rewards, balances, and then buy more Hi Dollars if you like. There are some features that are not yet functional, but I sent Hi to a friend who I convinced to sign up and it was very fast with no fees!

Buying and Selling Hi

At present, buying HI is limited to exchanging other ERC-20 coins for Hi Dollar on Uniswap. This is relatively easy to setup but for those who are not technologically adept may find themselves struggling on this step. Hi Dollar promises to be available for purchase in the future using a credit or debit card which is also promising. One thing I should note is that you can buy or swap all from the app, you will not be taken to an external site — which is nice.

When it comes to selling your Hi Dollars and cashing out, that basically works the same way. Uniswap to a stablecoin is going to be the safest choice followed by a transfer to an exchange such as coinbase or crypto.com to sell off your assets and get real money. It seems like hi wants to allow people to go from Hi Dollars to local currency within the app in the future, which would be amazing as it would bypass the need for exchanges and their associated fees and spread on transactions.

Future Potential

The future looks bright for HI! I have yet to encounter a cryptocurrency that has integration with social media applications (if another exists feel free to share in the comments below). I think allowing integration with already existing apps opens a pathway for many to access cryptocurrency funds without having to worry about local restrictions on available apps. I also think since many already have these platforms on their phones, they can very easily access the HI ecosystem and get started with decentralized finance. The future updates to the platform is likely to make the currency more available and relevant in day to day use. While all cryptocurrency platforms promise real world adaptation, I think HI has a clear and solid path to obtaining that widespread public use.

Conclusion

Hi Dollar is a new cryptocurrency run on the Hi Platform that utilizes social media/messenger apps to work. It is incredibly intuitive and easy to access, which makes its future potential outstanding in the lens of public adaptation. To access the platform in its current state, you should use the following link as it requires you to have a reference: https://hi.com/Nicso. While functionality is limited right now, what is available for use works very well and I think it will see more widespread adoption in the future. As usual, I always recommend users read the white paper for any cryptocurrency they are thinking about investing in. So, what are you waiting for? Give HI a try!
