A little bit about me, plus photos

This is me. This is me taking strange photos of myself with a red velvet cloak that my mother made (which I wore to the theater premier of The Return of the King) and holding a stained glass candleholder that my husband made (which is inspired by the Druid dance in the opening credits of Outlander). That says quite a lot about me, doesn’t it?

This is me with green hair. I’ve also had purple hair, pink hair, red hair (various shades), orange hair, black hair, blonde hair, and brown hair. I’ve had pixie cuts and bobs, bangs, and even a shaved head for a few years. My high school English teacher once gave me a “Most Changed Hair” award.

See?

This is me in the 1980s with crimped hair and a fancy nightgown. Gosh, I miss nightgowns.

This is me on a birthday hike two years ago in my favorite winter hat from my sister. My birthday is in February and we had a good amount of snow at the time. I love to hike year round, but in winter months I hope for enough snow to go sledding with my family. Some people call it “sliding” instead — is that a regional thing? What do you call it?

We snowshoe as well, which is a lot of work!

Finally, this is a recent photo of me at the Peace Pagoda, resting after a walk up a steep hill. I am wearing the Red Sox jacket that I bought in college, a scarf that a former coworker brought back from Tunisia, and my camera bag. My son took this photo on his iPhone and texted it to me for $1. He always drives a hard bargain.

Thanks to JoAnn Ryan for introducing this fun challenge. Can’t wait to see you all!
