Intoxicated with Tenderness
Poem
Tuesday’s Prompt: A tender language must be spoken

love is a rose with tender petals that need nurturing and loving care love is a river that flows freely caressing its banks softly as it flares love is a breeze whispering sweet words of tenderness into my ears love is two swans drifting silently showing their lifetime unbroken affair love is a newborn bonding with its mother as she gives thanks in prayer love is an angel sent from heaven to guide and protect us while we’re here love is freedom to live an authentic life absent of ego and fear love is the light illuminating in a world that’s filled with hate and despair love is the soul intoxicated with tenderness laced with emotions we hold dear
Love is an experience, a state of being, a state of connectedness that can be challenging when we attempt to define it by our limited words. It is an emotion that transcends most of our understanding as human beings. Most humans have experienced love at different levels of consciousness, and it is at that level where we can define what love means to us.
When we love someone, we experience heightened intoxicating emotions of tenderness. Emotions that we delicately nurture and nourish so that they can grow and flourish. It’s a beautiful experience triggered from the pureness of our souls, that we willingly share with others bringing joy and happiness into each of our lives.
Love is the key to saving humanity. It is the language that when spoke tenderly can heal our wounds and connect us back to the true essence of our being.
It does not matter what level of consciousness we are experiencing; we are all deserving of the gift of love. We all deserve the chance to experience the language that binds us to each other, the language that should be spoken tenderly into our hearts and soul.
What is love to you and do you speak it tenderly?
This was written in response to Diana C.’s Tuesday Promptastic Prompt:
Thank you all for reading. And thank you Diana C. for creating the space so that we all can revisit stages in our lives, tell our stories, grow, and heal. KTHT has been a rollercoaster, one that I don’t mind riding.
