Into Darkness
Tread carefully on the path of enlightenment
I carefully made my way through the darkness onto the path of enlightenment. A magnetic force drew me closer to my destination despite my mind trying to fight the impulse. Without warning, I was hit by a mirage of images that flashed across my mind. These still photographs were of objects, faces, and places.
Without the luxury of sight, it felt as if someone was trying to guide me. At first, it seemed as if it was a random coincidence — a jumble of letters with no meaning. Yet somehow I knew there was a message waiting for me, but what it said remained a mystery to me.
A grand door then appeared out of thin air. It slowly began to creak open, realizing a burst of energy. My hand was too slow in shielding my eyes from the white light, which left me dazed. Within seconds my eyes adjusted, and I was left mesmerized by what I saw.
I chuckled as the cool breeze grazed over my bare skin, smiled as the heavenly aromas dazzled my senses. Extending my arms out from my body I waited. With the touch of an angel, I picked up a bottle of milk before closing the fridge door.
