Can you fill in the blanks like Mad Libs?

Listen, I get it. Writing is not always easy. In fact, I never finished my Ph.D. because my professors told me I couldn’t write. Foolishly I believed them.

But there is an enormous difference between writing academically and creating content that makes a difference, sparks people to action, and makes a profit too.

Can you fill-in-the-blanks?

If you can fill in the blanks, kinda like a Mad Lib comic, you can create content that makes a difference. And now that I’ve told you, I’m gonna go one better and show you.

One of the favorite content creation templates we use is the “3 Secrets” Content Creation Template.

Let’s do a mini-demonstration:

TITLE: “3 [positive adjective] [niche topic] Secrets”

That Title Template then becomes, in this example:

“3 Profit Pulling List Building Secrets”

Next…

[niche topic] Secret 1: [name the secret]

[explain the secret]

[tip on how use the secret]

So this first secret would then become, for our example:

List Building Secret 1: Community Building

[explain the secret] “You want to begin with the end in mind. The ultimate goal of list building is to build a responsive community who can’t wait to hear from you and invest in your products and services.”

[tip on how use the secret] “One of the many ways you can do this is communicate with your community. Often. Ask them questions. Answer their questions. Send helpful emails. Respond to their emails.”

Then you do the same process above for Secret #2 and for Secret #3.

Include an invitation to their next success steps, and you’ve created an article that will make a difference and make a profit.
